Biography

Sarah K. Laird is a commercial real estate lawyer who represents owners, developers, investors, and sponsors in a wide range of commercial real estate transactions throughout the United States. She has extensive experience with acquisitions and dispositions, development projects, and leasing matters involving office, industrial, retail, mixed‑use, multifamily, and healthcare and senior‑living assets.

Sarah’s practice includes negotiating and documenting purchase and sale agreements, ground leases, build‑to‑suit and sale‑leaseback transactions, and construction, term, and bridge financing with banks, insurance companies, and private equity groups. She routinely structures and negotiates operating agreements and joint venture arrangements for commercial real estate investments, helping clients balance economic goals with practical risk allocation and exit strategies.

In addition to her core transactional work, Sarah advises clients on land use and entitlement issues, condominium and mixed‑use regimes, and the real estate aspects of broader corporate and M&A transactions. Clients appreciate her practical, business‑oriented approach, attention to detail, and ability to keep complex deals moving efficiently from term sheet through closing.
