Biography

Hunter Humphreys is a partner in Thompson Burton’s Commercial Real Estate practice group focusing on the acquisition, disposition, development, financing, leasing, restructuring, and operation of commercial real estate assets across a variety of asset classes, including retail, office, multi-family, industrial, mixed-use, and hospitality projects. He has worked with developers, investors, private equity sponsors, owners, operators, lenders, and growing businesses in a broad range of commercial real estate transactions, development matters, and strategic business initiatives.

In addition to his legal practice, Hunter brings substantial executive leadership and operational experience from his time serving in various General Counsel and executive leadership roles where he helped facilitate acquisitions, dispositions, financings, development projects, corporate structuring, property operations, and strategic growth initiatives across a multi-state commercial real estate portfolio.  Additionally, Hunter has held senior legal and real estate leadership roles, including serving as Vice President of Real Estate Legal & Development supporting one of the country’s largest retail growth platforms. His experience includes extensive work involving build-to-suit development programs, retail expansion strategy, industrial and distribution center development, site selection, economic incentives, construction coordination, and portfolio management.
