Biography
Clay is a member of Thompson Burton’s Corporate Team, where he advises clients across a broad range of industries, with a focus on mergers and acquisitions, cross-border transactions, regulatory compliance, business planning, corporate structuring and multi-level marketing/direct sales. He has extensive experience representing direct selling companies and engaging with regulators and offers strategic counsel to clients seeking to strike the right balance between risk-taking and regulatory compliance.
Clay’s experiences across industries and through international relationships enables him to provide a unique perspective to clients who desire a creative, yet simple, approach for their operations and individual goals.
A prolific writer and recognized thought leader, Clay regularly shares insights on legal and business topics relevant to entrepreneurs through his newsletter, Thoughts A Brewin' , various publications, and on social media. Clay is also an active participant in GGI Global Alliance where he represents Thompson Burton on the world stage.
Clay is an avid traveler and conversationally speaks, reads, and writes both Russian and Spanish.
